Dear Black Belt World Family Members,
We would like to take a moment to explain upcoming changes to our Childcare Programs.
Due to recent developments with North Carolina Childcare Licensing Guidelines, Black Belt World is no longer able to carry a childcare license. This decision will in no way effect the high quality of instruction and care you have come to expect from Black Belt World. We are not changing the way we operate our Childcare Programs at all. We are simply changing our classification from licensed to unlicensed. (This only means that we are not able to accept Government Subsidies for Childcare as of Mar 31, 2012)
There are several North Carolina Childcare Licensing Guidelines effecting this decision, the most important of which is the mandate requiring that only Early Childhood Education professionals may work with our students during childcare hours. Black Belt World’s compliance with this mandate would mean that none of our Masters and Instructors could teach Tae Kwon-Do or provide mentorship and care to our students during those hours. Since Black Belt World is primarily a Tae Kwon-Do training facility, our certified instructors must be allowed to work with our students.
This and other North Carolina Licensing Guidelines have made it no longer feasible for Black Belt World to carry a childcare license. Tae Kwon-Do is our first priority at Black Belt World, so we are letting our childcare license go in order to preserve the quality of our Tae Kwon-Do based Childcare Programs.
Again, this move is to ensure our continued excellence in providing you with Afterschool, Track-out, and Summer Camp programs that feature the best quality Tae Kwon-Do instruction and care available to you at reasonable prices.
We thank you for your understanding and support in this matter.
Best Wishes,
BBW Staff
